Murray River Vehicle Ferries
Three new 25 metre hydraulically driven vehicle ferries were constructed for the Murray River at a projects cost of $9.5 million. MG Engineering not only undertook the fabrication and outfitting of the ferries but also were the primary contractor and project managers. All work was carried out to meet all relevant regulatory bodies involved with the vessels. Careful consideration and planning were taken to minimise impact on the ferry services at the time of vessel commissioning and also in the vessel design to minimise noise emissions on the river. Project Value: $9,500,000.
