Barges
MG Engineering design and build modular barges in full compliance to AMSA NSCV survey requirements. Our current design measures 12 x 3 x 1.2 meter deep.
The barge is designed in this configuration to enable easy transportation by road. Once on site the modules can be joined together depending upon work scope and deck area required. This design offers maximum flexibility according to project needs and logistical constraints.
The barges are rated to Class 2D, enabling them to be towed up to 5 km off shore. 1 pair of module barges has the capacity to take a 50 tonne load and is rated for up to 2 ton per square metre point loading. Multiple modules joined together will allow for greater load depending upon stability.
