WHO ARE WE?
Marine & General (MG) Engineering is a South Australian Engineering company that was founded by Nikola & Anthony Brdar.
Established in 1995, MG Engineering celebrates its 25th year as one of Australia’s leading Marine Engineering Companies.
Our facility occupies 12,000m2 of prime river frontage on the Port River in Port Adelaide and we are conveniently located 10 km from the Osborne Naval Shipyard precinct and Common User Facility.
WHAT WE DO?
MG Engineering are a ship builder and fabricator specialising in small to medium size projects for the defence and commercial shipping sectors.
We have a proven track record in the fabrication and delivery of complex modular constructions primarily for defence but also other industries.
MG Engineering have successfully designed, constructed and delivered 20-30m long steel hull vessels for the Fishing and passenger ferry business on time and on budget.
As our capabilities have grown we have expanded into the ship repair business and can manage all manner of work for our customers ranging from minor afloat repairs to major scheduled dry dockings.
Despite our emphasis on the Marine business we remain committed to our customers who represent an array of land based industries which include Mining, Oil & Gas, Water, Civil Construction and many more. Our slipway is especially suited for the delivery of oversize structures which are too large to travel by road.
Our highly trained staff are qualified in complex welding and fabrication in a variety of materials including steel, aluminium, stainless steel and more exotic alloys.
