Italian Shipbuilding Fincantieri selects SA company MG Engineering to build 2 ship blocks

Italian shipping giant Fincantieri engaged MG Engineering to build two ship blocks that will be used to for a cruise ship they are building in Vietnam. Each block weighs 22.3 tonne and is just under the size of a tennis court. Fincantieri is bidding for the $35 billion SEA 5000 Future Frigate Program and committed to the local block build which will use 50 tonnes of Australian steel, as a part of its engagement to local suppliers.
